Hotel Manager
HOTEL MANAGER POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN FRANCE AND AUSTRIA
You will be responsible for all aspects of the ClubHotel ensuring a smooth profitable operation while adhering to company standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Allocation of staff duties and rotas
• Adherence to budgets and control of running costs
• Weekly stocktaking
• Allocation of guest rooms
• Management of the efficient running of the restaurant and bar

You must have previous experience of hotel/catering management, staff management skills, an excellent communicator, working knowledge of a relevant language (preferable), self motivated, positive pro-active approach and computer literate.

You would need to be available from the end of November to the end of April.

Assistant Hotel Manager

ASSISTANT/DUTY MANAGER POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN FRANCE AND AUSTRIA
Your main responsibility is to assist in the day to day running of the hotel to Company standards, deputising in the absence of the Manager. This position is very much a ‘hands on’ role where required you will cover all areas of the hotel, and if necessary replace those staff that are off duty/sick.

You will need to have previous experience of hotel/catering in a supervisory role, be an excellent communicator, working knowledge of a relevant language (preferable), self motivated and computer literate.

You would need to be available from the end of November to the end of April.

Maintenance Person

MAINTENANCE PERSON REQUIRED IN FRANCE
As a maintenance person your main duties are to deal with the day to day maintenance of the hotel. This could include:

• Repairing of any damaged hotel furniture / fittings
• Replacement of light bulbs, tap washers etc
• Unblocking any wastes, toilets and basins
• Unloading deliveries
• Ensuring all outside areas of the hotel are kept to a high standard, ensuring areas are kept clear of snow and ice
• Covering of other areas of the hotel, for days off i.e. kitchen porter, bar person
You will have knowledge and experience of basic plumbing, electrics and general maintenance and be able to use initiative and be a team player.

You will need to be available from the beginning of December to the end of April.

General Assistant

GENERAL ASSISTANT REQUIRED FOR OUR HOTEL IN FRANCE AND AUSTRIA
This is a dual role of restaurant service and housekeeping. In the restaurant you will be responsible for waiting on tables and clearing in an efficient and personable manner. Following each service the team of General Assistant clear and clean the restaurant and reset tables, polishing all cutlery and glassware ready for client use. Thoroughly cleaning the restaurant on a daily basis e.g. wiping down chairs, tables cleaning floor etc. The housekeeping duties include thorough daily cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying dustbins. Cleaning and vacuuming of all public areas i.e. corridors, stairways, lounges, bar, reception and also clearing and sweeping of any outside terraces and balconies.

Experience in restaurant or hotel is preferable but not essential. You must be a good team player, self motivated and able to use initiative. Good customer service skills are a must.

You will need to be available from the beginning of December to the end of April.

Head Chef

HEAD CHEF POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN FRANCE AND AUSTRIA
Your key responsibility is to operate a kitchen providing food for clientele and maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness throughout. As the Head Chef you will:

• Abide by local and European regulations
• Manage the team of kitchen staff and organisation of staff rotas
• Producing the menus set by the Hotel Controller
• Provide all meals to a high standard, this includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meal for clients
• Control of set budget together with the maintenance of good standards
• Providing of healthy balanced meals for staff
• Ordering from suppliers and adhering to listed goods / prices
• Checking all orders received are correct, stored away accordingly and ensuring stock is rotated
• Completion of weekly stock take
You will need relevant kitchen management/ supervisory experience and be a Team worker.

You would need to be available from the end of November to the end of April.

Sous/Commi Chef

SOUS CHEF POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN FRANCE AND AUSTRIA
As a Sous Chef your main responsibility is to assist the Head Chef in the preparation and service of food maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen. Other duties and responsibilities include food preparation and service of all meals alongside the Head Chef, cooking in support of Head Chef and on own, deputising in his/her absence, maintenance of hygienic conditions in the kitchen, abiding by local/European regulations, receive deliveries of food, check order is correct and store away correctly, ensuring stock is rotated, be aware of stock levels and assist in compiling orders as required
You must have some cooking experience (pub, restaurant or hotel), with the ability to adapt and learn. An understanding of Health and Hygiene requirements is also required.

You would need to be available from the end of November to the end of April.

Kitchen Porter/Night Porter

KITCHEN PORTER/NIGHT PORTER REQUIRED FOR OUR HOTEL IN FRANCE AND AUSTRIA
A dual role spending two weeks as Kitchen Porter followed by two weeks as Night Porter (may be variable according to individual hotel’s requirements). As a Night Porter you will be responsible for:

• Security of the hotel during the night, with particular emphasis on fire and safety
• Completion of hourly checks of the building, noting anything untoward
• Safety of guests during the night
• Ensuring guests returning late to hotel do not disturb other guests
• Cleaning of public areas
• Preparation of the restaurant for breakfast
• Snow clearing
• Full awareness of the fire evacuation procedure and the fire alarm system in the hotel and awareness of emergency procedures for fire, medical, ambulance and ability to call the relevant emergency services.
• Whilst on Kitchen Porter shift your duties will be
• Washing crockery, cutlery, glasses, kitchen pots and pans
• Cleaning kitchen equipment
• Maintenance of hygienic conditions in the kitchen abiding by local/European regulations
• Assistance with food preparation
• Receiving deliveries and storing correctly
• Ensuring waste bins and other refuse areas are kept clean and tidy

You will need to be available from the beginning of December to the end of April.

Bar Staff

BAR STAFF REQUIRED IN FRANCE AND AUSTRIA
As bar staff you will be required to work in a hotel bar and restaurant providing first class service to guests. Your main duties include:
• Creating a welcoming and congenial atmosphere for our guests
• Serve food and drink to resident guests (and non-resident, where applicable) in the bar, lounge and terrace areas
• Professional running of bar services
• Creation of specialty nights, themed evenings, happy hours, cocktail lists
• Maintenance of high standards of service, ensuring high levels of cleanliness and hygiene
• Handling of cash and ensuring correct till readings
• Weekly stocktaking
• Glass Collection in bar, terrace and restaurant
• Deep clean of bar area on a weekly basis
Previous bar experience is preferable but not essential. Good customer service skills and a bright and bubble personality. French and Italian speakers required for two hotels.

You will need to be available from the beginning of December to the end of April.

Chalet Host

CHALET HOST (Suitable for couples)
As a Chalet Host your main duty is to ensure the smooth running of the Chalet while providing excellent customer service. Other responsibilities include:

• Maintenance of high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and general running of the chalet
• Servicing of all bedrooms and public areas to a high standard creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Providing an imaginative and wholesome menu plan, ordering of food and wine and checking deliveries, providing breakfast, afternoon tea for 7 days a week and providing evening meals for 6 days a week
• Organisation and responsibility of chalet laundry
• Complete monthly stock takes
• Completion of weekly paperwork, assuming responsibility for petty cash
• Ensuring that the access and surrounding areas of the chalet are safe and snow free
• Ensuring the smooth running of changeover day liaising between guests Resort Representative when necessary
You will need to feel comfortable cooking for 14 -20 guest each night. You must also have a personable approach and lively personality, have the ability to use own initiative, good conversational and organisational skills and have patience and common sense.

You would need to be available from the end of November to the end of April.

Resort Representative

RESORT REPRESENTATIVE REQUIRED FOR FRANCE, AUSTRIA AND ITALY
The Resort Representative is responsible for the well being of the clients in resort and is the liaison between the Company and the client. We have positions in France, Austria and Italy. You will responsible for:

• Efficient operation in resort of all client services to include accommodation, ski services etc
• In resort ski pack sales and delivery of services
• Collecting payment for services purchased by clients
• Setting up and running of an Evening Entertainments program
• The smooth running of transfers to and from resort
• Dealing with medical, police and insurance matters on the clients behalf
• Upholding a positive image of the Company at all times and acting as positive and supportive team member
You must have a confident outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, ability to use initiative, flexible approach, and relevant language to good conversational level and have a smart professional image.

You would need to be available from the end of November to the end of April.

Ski Technician

SKI TECH REQUIRED FOR FRANCE
As a “Ski Tech” you are responsible for carrying out many of the reps duties and also providing a high quality fitting and maintenance service of all equipment to clients on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for fitting and offering advice to all our clients, liaison with resort ski hire shops, covering the Resort Representative on their days off, transferring guests to and from the airport and helping setting up and running of Evening Entertainment program.

You will ideally have a Ski Technicians certificate, if not a good knowledge of ski equipment. You will also have a confident outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, ability to use initiative, flexible approach, smart professional image and experienced skier/snowboarder.

You would need to be available from the end of November to the end of April.

Office Administrator

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR REQUIRED FOR COUNTRY OFFICE IN FRANCE AND AUSTRIA

You will need to be fluent in either French or German. The main responsibility is to support the administration of the Company overseas and the Area Managers. Main duties will include:

• Dealing with suppliers in all resorts
• Controlling invoice payments to suppliers
• Liaising with UK office
• Controlling weekly transfer from and to resorts from various airports
• Dealing with tourist offices
• Supporting the Area Managers and Resort Representatives
• Coordinating reservations system
You must have a good knowledge of Excel and Word, have good organisational skills, be self-motivated, strong communication skills and have a flexible approach. Fluent in French or German.

You would need to be available from the end of November to the end of April.

Driver

COMPANY DRIVER REQUIRED FOR FRANCE
As Company Driver you will get a chance to see all the resorts we operate in. You will be responsible for transporting guests, staff and stock between resorts. This could be picking up potential clients from the airport and taking them to a number of resorts and hotels or it could be meeting new staff and driving up to resort.

You must have held a Driving Licence for over five years and experience driving in winter conditions would be an advantage. You will also be a good communicator and have a pleasant and approachable personality.

You would need to be available from the end of November to the end of April.

Peak Season Representative
This position is during the February Half Term (18th February 2011) and Easter (1st to 26th April). If you are only available for one week or all four it is worth applying. You will be looking after one of our school groups. You will travel out with the group often by coach, assist with check in, organise ski fit, liaise between the party leader and the hotel regarding meal times, accompany them to ski school, ensuring they turn up on time and are with the correct instructors and organising evening entertainment.

This position is ideal if you want to get out to the mountains for free! You will be provided with your travel from a UK departure point, lift pass, ski hire, accommodation, food, ski insurance and £100 for the week.
You must have an approachable personality, strong organisation skills and able to think on your feet.
Knowledge of Italian, German or French is preferable but not essential.
